Configuring Apache web root
 

I'm attempting to get apache running to share some school files with fellow students. I attempted to use KPF, but it didn't work from any other computer (I could go to localhost:port and it would work but any other computer, even inside the network, didn't work)

So I compiled and installed apache 2, and it is running. But when I go to localhost:8080, I get 'You don't have permission to access / on this server' I'm sure that this is a simple permissions issue, but I'm completely stuck.
any help would be appreciated.

Never mind on this question. I had forgotten to open the firewall port for KPF. Opened it and all is well.
