Now i have mandrake 9.2 with 2.4.22-10 kernel. i install the kernel proprietly without acpi module and vesa driver.first of all. But when i reboot the pc it doesn't work and it reboots itself. Please help me as soon as possible.

If it is rebooting on boot it sounds like you are missing some options in your kernel to me. I recommend booting off your old kernel and going through those kernel configuration options again.

Upgrading to 2.6.X series is not just a matter of downloading kernel source and compiling !
You have to upgrade several utilities, modules are not handled the same way, etc...
It's not that much of a pain, though, it is just installing 2 or 3 packages and on you go ! I had a web site detailling that, but can't remember where it is.
I juse remember that you have to upgrade init-modules-tools (go to rpmfind.net) but look out, cause then you'll have trouble with the old kernel, so to be able to boot both 2.4X and 2.6X kernels, you have to do some tricky things (I'm not an expert so i won't detail !)

Good luck !
