What worked fine before you installed it?

Looking at post # 8 and # 11 it looks like bluetooth is installed.
It should launch with:

Code:

sudo service bluetooth start
If it's not launching with the above command than something (probably a dependency or dependencies) are missing.Anyway.......
Normally you would see the bluetooth icon in the panel or tray to set up a new device.

You can't pair your bluetooth device without blueman.
Is blueman installed?

That's a good sign.

The Bluetooth agent is what manages the Bluetooth 'pairing code'.

Now at the bluetooth# prompt type: default-agent. Like so:

This is getting a little complex or me

Sorry-

Where you able to type default-agent at the bluetooth prompt and get information showing that your device is connected?

rtstxtrdnr 03-19-2019 07:01 PM

Nothing

When you type bluetoothctl it should show your device connected.
Is your bluetooth device on?

I'm afraid I'm nearing the end of where I can help you.

rtstxtrdnr 03-19-2019 07:21 PM

rtstxtrdnr@rtstxtrdnr-PC:~$ bluetoothctl
Agent registered
[bluetooth]#

And then?

Then you should get the message that your Default agent request was successful. And your device should show that it is connected.
