display adapter settings
I have a mecer bravo laptop which has a sis mirage graphics card,
I cant change the screen resolution from 800 x 600 to anything better. im running ubuntu please help |

In GNOME, it should be as easy as clicking through a few menus.
The main menu should be on the left of the top panel by default. Anyway, go to: System -> Preferences -> Display A screen with your monitor's settings should pop up. Now just click the drop-down menu that says 'Resolution' and pick a different size. |
