iowait problem with 2.4 kernel

Using the latest redhat centos kernel 2.4.21-47.ELsmp #1 SMP. I'm having iowait problems, never had an issue before I changed the kernel. Which 2.4 version doesn't have iowait issues? I've read 2.4 has issues with iowait.:rolleyes: :confused:

I've read 2.4 has issues with iowait.
No AFAIK it hasn't.
Maybe the RHEL one has or had.
Test by running a vanilla 2.4.33.

It shouldn't be that old "echo n > /proc/sys/vm/inactive_clean_percent" thing.
(Int n between 0 and 100, 30 being the safe test value if you want to test anyway.)
