Problems with USB and digital camera
I use Slackware 9.1 with 2.4.25 kernel.
I've compiled all modules, which are neccessary to use digital camera (usb and scsi support) and I supose that everything is ok. The problem shouldn't be caused wrong kernel configuration. When I am booting my system, the following error appears: root@localhost:/d# cat /var/log/syslog | grep usb.c Apr 29 23:48:21 localhost kernel: usb.c: USB device 2 (vend/prod 0x4a9/0x306e) is not claimed by any active driver. And then I cant detect my digital camera as SCSI device. Have you any idea, what should I do with that? On MDK 9.2 everything was right, also with recompiled kernel. |
have you tried upgrading to the latest version of gtkam?
there are some dependencies that you'll need to install in this order libgphoto gphoto and then install gtkam i have a cannon powershot a60, and i'm running RH9, and with the newest version of gtkam, it detects it and downloads pics fine. i was impressed |
At least some older cameras do not work as USB mass storage devices. But gphoto may still work. See
