Problem with Broadcom 4401 "b44: eth0: BUG! ..."
 
Recently decided to put OpenSuse 10.3 on my laptop (Dell Inspiron 1100), after a few hitchs (most of them solved by reading these forums) I finally have it up and running.

However I cannot connect to my university network.
Whenever I click wired network in Knetwork manager, it sets itself up with the local link ip: 169.254.174.70


Heres the ethernet in my machine:

Theres a nice string of 300 and some odd "b44: eth0: BUG! Timeout waiting for bit 00002000 of register 21c to set." errors in my dmesg, that may mean something to someone more knowledgable than myself.

Theres actually alot more of those b44 errors than listed below, but a had to edit it to fit inside the 25000 character max :)
