Now that you actually have sound from both sides of th device it should be a matter of "tweaking", i.e., adjusting the levels so that everything works together. I'd suggest turning the mic down first, (to a volume that is still audible), then have a look at the other channels.

This is going to sound backwards but, lowering channels may actually help with the "cutout" you're experiencing. Did you use either of the module options from post #12 or #14? That may help sort out the channels and jacks that they correspond to.
