Parallel port Disabled.
I don't know why i have no parallel port, i'm serching for info on how activate it. On windows works fine, in BIOS is as ECP+EPP, the IRQ and DMA auto.
Slack 9, with recompiled Kernel 2.4.22-rc2, (it's active the parallel port option). Any idea, suggestion, "to do" is very welcome. |

First what hw are you trying to use on the parallel port.......
If you have it plugged in it should show up in dmesg or if your using a gui such as gnome ...... use the gnome h/w browser and see what /dev/ its listed as ........and it should be something simple to mount it.... if not .....search for parallel port linux@ google and it should give you some resources for this..... or if you need help trying to mount it ......just ask.... |
I want to add a printer using CUPS but parallel option is empty that exactly the problem.
