Unhappy Parallel port Disabled.

I don't know why i have no parallel port, i'm serching for info on how activate it. On windows works fine, in BIOS is as ECP+EPP, the IRQ and DMA auto.

Slack 9, with recompiled Kernel 2.4.22-rc2, (it's active the parallel port option).

Any idea, suggestion, "to do" is very welcome.

First what hw are you trying to use on the parallel port.......
If you have it plugged in it should show up in dmesg or if your using a gui such as gnome ...... use the gnome h/w browser and see what /dev/ its listed as ........and it should be something simple to mount it....
if not .....search for parallel port linux@ google and it should give you some resources for this.....

or if you need help trying to mount it ......just ask....
