Increasing a Logical Volume over a new hard-drive - Possible?
Hey Guys,
The subject is pretty self-explanatory, but here's a bit of detail: Im currently saving for a couple of 500Gb SATA drives and a RAID controller to create a NFS server running RAID level 1. Because I just moved house it's gonna take me a while to save up the £400/£500 to buy the kit. My new housemate has offered up a 160Gb IDE HD. I'd like to install this disk and increase my already existing logical volume (mounted on /shared) to include this disk as a temporary measure. Is this possible? Could I lose data? Is this something I would have to setup using the commandline or does it have a KDE interface? Please help. Thanks |
