cups-filter-insecure, lexmark genesis s816 installation.
 

Hi. I am using linux mint 16 petra. I am trying to install my lexmark genesis s816 printer. I downloaded the deb files from lexmark's driver database. But i will not work. I get the cups-filter-insecure warning and can't even print a testside. I have searched endlessly for a solution to this problem (which apparently is quit common) but none of the solutions i have tried has worked for me.
Partly because i need crystal clear step by step instructions and it allways seems like some of the parameters in the solutions i find, dosen't fit with my system.
Is there anyone in here who can help me.
I have tried to to install the printer via the linuxprinter setup and i am offered a gutenprint driver but it never finishes downloading or it stalls my system half way through.
I should add that the newest deb file from lexmark is for linux mint 13. I have tried severel of lexmark's deb files. Both older linux mint and also ubuntu files. Nothing works.cups-filter-insecure keeps popping up.

march 16, 2014: My printer is now printing but exstremely slow. I added a few lines in terminal that changed the rights( i think). Can´t remember the lines. Copy pasted it from the ubuntu forum.

I tried installing my printer via the cups option (found out about on youtube). It did install and there were no error messages but it wouldn´t print anything. In the printer queqe the status of the printerjob was "stopped"

Still need to find the right way to make it work with reasonable speed. Any Ideas anyone?.
