Question cups-filter-insecure, lexmark genesis s816 installation.

Hi. I am using linux mint 16 petra. I am trying to install my lexmark genesis s816 printer. I downloaded the deb files from lexmark's driver database. But i will not work. I get the cups-filter-insecure warning and can't even print a testside. I have searched endlessly for a solution to this problem (which apparently is quit common) but none of the solutions i have tried has worked for me.
Partly because i need crystal clear step by step instructions and it allways seems like some of the parameters in the solutions i find, dosen't fit with my system.
Is there anyone in here who can help me.
I have tried to to install the printer via the linuxprinter setup and i am offered a gutenprint driver but it never finishes downloading or it stalls my system half way through.
I should add that the newest deb file from lexmark is for linux mint 13. I have tried severel of lexmark's deb files. Both older linux mint and also ubuntu files. Nothing works.cups-filter-insecure keeps popping up.

march 16, 2014: My printer is now printing but exstremely slow. I added a few lines in terminal that changed the rights( i think). Canīt remember the lines. Copy pasted it from the ubuntu forum.

I tried installing my printer via the cups option (found out about on youtube). It did install and there were no error messages but it wouldnīt print anything. In the printer queqe the status of the printerjob was "stopped"

Still need to find the right way to make it work with reasonable speed. Any Ideas anyone?.
