Camera support
Hi is there any site to find out drivers for my usb 2 web camera?
|
go to vendors site
|
Most cameras with a usb interface require no drivers. They are detected as usb mass storage devices.
|
mmm the vendor has no driver for my camera...
When i connect my usb camera i receive the following usb 4-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 3 |
So what happens when to try to access the camera using something like digikam (after configuring it as a usb mass storage device).

I have an old IBM Pro Cam which works fine under linux. Just need to compile the driver into the kernel or as a module. See video4linux section of kernel... I forget where the usb webcam driver was for my cam... I think in USB Drivers section.
Communicate with camera with xawtv But first try what redazz said and see if it's working now! Scott |
Hello All,
I'm having problems also trying to import pictures into Fedora 5, digiKam opens and when I go to import pictures I get this error (An error occurred in the io-library (Could not lock device) Camera is already in use)? I can't see any other camera in use? How do I fix the problem? |
