WCCP on Squid

HI All,

Any idea regards Cisco's WCCP set up on Squid proxy and router.

I follow some documents but It seems is not work.

Cheers :D

I am not quite sure how wccp works for cisco but I have worked in an environment where we transparently proxied hosts by redirecting port 80 from our catalyst 5000 to a squid box.

This seems like the same idea only cheaper. I am sure there is a ton of functionality tied into WCCP that I am not aware of.

Thank you,

HI Terry,

Where do I should find the document regards the transparent proxy.

CHEERS :D

Ummm, well transparent proxying for squid is in the squid documentation. The docs for doing it with a RSM (route switch module) on a catalyst would be on cisco.com.

I can't remember what the commands were exactly. Perhaps I have it in some old documentation cd's someplace. This would be a great question for the people in #cisco on undernet.

Sorry I can't be of much more help.
