my question was why does alot of processes run and die in between 1420 and 7082 and 14734?
do they belong to khubd and kjournald? |

If you really want to test this, reboot your computer and upon login, check your PID's. You'll probably notice all of them have low numbers to start off with. Then start issuing commands and then taking a look at the ps -ax output, you'll noticed your commands are issued a PID but are no longer listed in the output since they completed. My question would be, why are you worrying about something so trivial? This is totally normal behaviour. |
I am not worried, its just that it makes me nervous, besides the PID reaches 32768 quickly, this annoyes me.
