RH 7.1 post install hell?
 

ok im linux noob... anyways i finilay finished installing rh7.1 and when i boot up i get a slection screen between linux and "linux up" dunno what that means... anyways when i tried linux and linux up.. firt time around while loading some stuff failed and something about directory not there...


anyways no biggie, so i just reinstalled, now when i run "linux" i get a crc error, and boot up is halted, but if i run "linux up" it loads up just fine into gnome... wtf is up?

i just want a normal install...

If you want to get rid of it, you can either comment out the lines or delete them.

It'll look something like this:

image=/boot/xxxxxxx
label=linux
root=/dev/yyyy
read-only


After you get rid of it, you could change the name of the other one to ' linux '.
