Make Redhat 8 (phoebe) to mount NTFS / Install ISO from harddrive

If I install RH 8 will I be able to mount NTFS (read only is fine) and how do I go about getting it mounted?

As another question, I have a Thinkpad with a removable harddrive (Ultrabay) that I want to install Linux to (as dual boot, WinXP and Win2K are on primary harddrive). This means I don't have a CD drive while the harddrive is in the Ultrabay. Can I somehow install the ISO images from the primary harddrive)?

If you have searched this forum your problem would have been solved
RedHat does not include the module for ntfs(unlike all other major distributions)
check
http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/info/redhat.html
you may use the module or recompile the kernel(whatever you prefer)and then mount your ntfs volumes
For the second question you can install Linux from harddrive
But since i think all your partitions are ntfs it will not be possible
convert one of them to fat32
and copy the iso image there
next make a bootable floppy copying the necessary images
with rawrite
Read Readme for how to do that

I can make a FAT32 partition, so that will be doable. That's a great link for NTFS, so I'll go there for further questions.

However, my Thinkpad uses removable media for the floppy, CD and the "new" harddrive I wanted to install Linux to. I guess I need an install mechanism that can work solely off a drive or else I'll have to decide if I want to give up something else off the main drive...

copy the iso images to your maindrive
boot from your new usb drive(i assume it is usb)
(copy the images) and make it bootable
now install the linux in your new drive
