:) i'll buy a mug when i get a better job! i promise!

trickykid 10-02-2001 01:49 AM

Do you think there is anyway we could get merchandise and add our linuxquestions username on it too.. now that would rock!
Same here goes for me, gonna get that microfiber hat when I get a job.... :)

Infamous Tim 10-03-2001 04:47 PM

Job? I can't *afford* a job, how's that for poor. I dunno, maybe if you had it in black, I'd probably bite, but I can go to class in boxers and free T-shirts for a long time, and very cheaply at that.

Colonel Panic 10-03-2001 05:34 PM

I WANT MY MOUSE TO BE HAPPY!!!

DavidPhillips 10-04-2001 10:53 PM

I'm gonna need a coffee mug, so I can stay up all night looking for something that I think might not be working right, so I can really screw it up.

DMR 10-08-2001 09:12 PM

Very cool.
And it just so happens that Friday is payday. Yay- Mugs and shirts for me!

Thymox 10-11-2001 10:21 AM

Ah - it's all in yankee bucks! Can you export them to England?

jeremy 10-11-2001 10:41 AM

Shipping to anywhere in the world is not a problem. I am pretty sure you have to pay in US dollars though.

DMR 10-27-2001 11:40 PM

Order Complete.
One mug, one sweatshirt for me...Yippee!

Always good to get cool stuff as a way of supporting a good cause.
:D

jeremy 11-07-2001 12:28 PM

UPDATE

Just added a few new products to the lineup. New items include a teddy bear, christmas ornaments, a beer stein and more. Also, for a limited time there is FREE shipping on orders of $50 or more.

Infamous Tim 11-15-2001 01:57 PM

One of these days I'll get some money, but until then ...

:smash:

X11 12-19-2001 06:02 AM

Got any Windoze dart boards :D :D :D .

c0c0deuz 12-21-2001 06:08 AM

Wow! excellent but with my canadian dollar, it's going to take me a week's pay to get that mug.
:Pengy:

linuxcam 01-02-2002 05:43 PM

I would buy t-shirts and sweatshirts if you had them in another color besides "ash-gray". It's almost dead white. I think you should have black, just like Tux; it looks good on anybody!

pekuekfir 01-07-2002 06:11 PM

question regarding a different linux t-shirt... I saw a picture somewhere with the linux penguin in front of a bunch of sheep, and it said Think Different. I want a t-shirt with that!!

DavidPhillips 01-07-2002 07:00 PM

I don't get it!

LOL

Thymox 01-08-2002 05:49 AM

Er, I'm pretty sure that the joke is:
Windows users are just a bunch of sheep (that go baa, as they would, being sheep). Linux users are not sheep, we're penguins (hmm, what does that do for my sense of manly-ness?)

Or, it some obscure reference to some poor penguins sexual tendencies. I like to think the former.

BTW: Has anyone noticed that the left-handed mug is cheaper than the right-handed one? (Items 8 and 9).

the mug on the left costs more cause its a bigger mug... its not a left handed mug.. its a bigger mug... :D to clear up any confusion.

oh, i wouldn't mind seeing stickers... like the clear reverse type you can put in your car window.. that would rock.

RecoilUK 01-12-2002 10:37 PM

Hi guys

Yeah that car sticker, bumper sticker is a neat idea. But as allways i,m gonna have to spoil everything now.

Now dont get me wrong, I would love to support this website by buying a mug, a large mug, but there,s just noway i,m gonna be spending $16.99 to get it. I mean if the exchange rate was $1.5 to £1 then thats £11.33 (for a mug lol noway). Dont forget there,s shipping costs to.

I can buy myself a bigger mug for £5 in virtually any shop in the high street.

I wanna help out but I also believe in value for money.

subhasis_ray 02-13-2002 05:36 AM

buying from india, it is damned costly and impossible in my salary. can something be done?
:smash:

jeremy 02-13-2002 08:42 AM

I have been looking for a better solution for international orders, but haven't seen anything viable yet. I will keep my eyes open though.

no1zhome 04-05-2002 12:44 PM

The coffee mugs are a touch small for my "needs". A stein would suit me better. Or better yet an IV !

Damn Canadian dollar...

I would love to own a mug with this pic on it: http://people.debian.org/~branden/ ("Official Motto")

DavidPhillips 04-05-2002 06:53 PM

Cool picture

Robert0380 04-16-2002 02:20 AM

any chance the price of a small mug could come down to say....8 bucks?
like a 1 hour sale from say.....3am - 4am EST.

vikasreddy 04-20-2002 08:27 AM

ain't it costly

hi,
it may sound wierd for u US guys but it is damn expensive for a 15 year old kid like me staying in India. i will hav to shell out around 800 bucks for a mug in my currency and that is my pocket money for a year.so i guess i can't support a great site like Linux questions till i begin earning.
*********SORRY GUYS****

blackmask 04-27-2002 09:47 AM

oops i can't any thing from here.its too costly for me.Here in India one dollar = Rs 45 or something. Can u people make it available in indian affordable prices ?

subhasis_ray 04-28-2002 03:13 AM

hey guys thats really true... but even if u r working the currence conversion is too bad.

plz do something to make these avilable in India

jeremy 04-28-2002 11:21 AM

Unfortunately I cannot do too much in this case. LinuxQuestions.org does not make much money on these, I just liked the idea. If we ever had the volume I would get them done elsewhere (a print shop) and the prices we be considerably cheaper.

subhasis_ray 04-29-2002 02:30 AM

thanks jeremy... i really appreciate it
i really want to support linuxquestions.org but with the kind of sal i get in india it is really difficult. hope u understand.

blackmask 05-06-2002 08:18 AM

Thanx for that reply. But as subhasis_ray said we can't help. When it comes to India its too costly.Thanx.

jeremy 05-19-2002 11:14 PM

Just an update. I just added a bunch of new products to the LinuxQuestions store. A golf shirt, frosted mug, sun visor, travel mug and more. Coming soon will be stickers, a clock, posters and more. I will post another update when those items are available.

jeremy 05-22-2002 08:15 AM

Right now white and grey are the only options. If the chance arises I would offer other colors.

jeremy 08-21-2002 10:02 PM

I added a few more items to the store - an LQ poster, a black hat, a hooded sweatshirt, a ladies tank top and finally - something I cannot believe I lived without - an LQ BBQ Apron.

--jeremy

trickykid 08-22-2002 02:24 PM

Is there any plans to add a bumper sticker or just stickers. Maybe the clear type that you can stick on the inside of your car window ?? I still plan on getting that mug though and a t-shirt at least. Going on vacation next month, be gone for 10 days, probably couldn't handle not being on LQ for 10 days straight, so must have t-shirt so I don't have any withdrawal symptoms... ;)

trickykid 08-23-2002 04:29 PM

Woo hoo.. Just ordered my LQ T-Shirt and Frosty mug, so I can answer/moderate LQ and drink my favorite beverage as well in LQ style. ;)

MasterC 08-24-2002 03:00 AM

Sweet! I think I may have to get me a few items.

Any luck on a bumper sticker or similar yet Jeremy, that would really cool!
