commands
What are some commands to tell me about my HD specs.
I have heard about hdparm, but I always get a command not found, even in root. Also, other various specs on my hardware like my sound, processor, video and memory. |
Then you might not have it installed. You should check your install CD (or if you are using mandrake, urpmi hdparm) and get it installed. I have, at times, had to install it after the initial install for whatever reason.
As for other info a: lspci (as root) OR lsdrakepci (on mandrake) To view info on your hardware. HTH Cool |
What specific information are you looking to obatain about the hard drive? Space, file system, etc. ???
