Cannot connect to DALnet with X-Chat :(
 

Ok well today I been fixing every problem that I had with Linux so far its been a succes I got one problem left and that is X-Chat wont let me connect to DALnet ! When I try to connect I usually get this or simular

--- Closing Link: 0.0.0.0 (You match the pattern of a known trojan, please check your system.)
--- Disconnected (Remote host closed socket).

There is no chance of a trojan though ! Its been happening 5 mins after I installed and connected to the net !

I wouldn't be too quick to say that there is no chance! I would do a quick post scan with nmap on yourself to see what ports are open on your system. Some IRC networks will refuse connections from clients with certain ports open on their system.

I got these open

I got
22 / ssh
25 / smtp
111 / sunrpc
6000 / X11
32775 / Sometimes RPC

Thats whats open actually are any of them bad to have open how do I close them ??

grab a copy of firestarter and block your ports if new to this setup
