Buying a new computer?? Get a Windows Refund!

Hi,

This is for all those who are buying a new computer and want to use it solely for linux :D...

I was looking at the www.linux-laptop.net site for another thread and I came upon this site, the Windows Refund HOWTO. Its all perfectly legitimate as long as you DO NOT accept the End User License Agreement (EULA). It all revolves round this single statment in the EULA:

Quote:

YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS OF THIS EULA BY INSTALLING, COPYING, OR OTHERWISE USING THE PRODUCT. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT INSTALL
OR USE THE PRODUCT; YOU MAY RETURN IT TO YOUR PLACE OF PURCHASE FOR A FULL REFUND.
To read the full Windows Refund HOWTO then you can goto this page:

Enjoy

Good link. I had also read about getting the refund a couple of years ago in a Linux mag.

It's great, for years we've been beaten about the head with the EULA, now we can make it work for us!
