Burning .mdf/.mds files

I was wondering how one might burn .mdf files in linux, in XP one would simply mount it using daemon but hos does it work in linux ??

thanx

google for mdf2iso

WhiskeyTangoFoxtrot 03-02-2006 01:43 AM

that may be an option but i have an easier method. all i did was burn it using K3B. i did a iso burn in it and when it asked me to select an iso file, i selected the .mdf file instead. the result, K3B read it and after a min was ready to burn.i burnt it and now the dvd works beautifully. its good to know that K3B is so versatile :)

so you didn't even try that before asking here?

i posted this msg just when i was trying it. i was dissapointed i dint find any direct ref to this sort of question on LQ so i thought even if i am on the right track i should post it.

All this time I've been using "mdf2iso" to convert the .mdf file to an .iso and then using K3b to burn it... I didn't know that K3b can handle .mdf's the same as .iso's.

mdf2iso only supports cd format not dvd format.
I've not find any good program which can burn .mdf files (dvd layout).
