:( it works great untill i have to open the hldsupdatetool.bin file, i get the EULA and i type in YES but it gives back

sh: line 1: uncompress: command not found
Broken pipe

well maybe your not doing it as root ?
or if you are, maybe you have a corrupt or incomplete download ?

oh and glad to see you got along fine verdeboy2k ;)

Rukahs 03-01-2004 03:41 PM

could i not be loged in as root?
i completed the download twice, the only what it could be corrupt either is if its corrupt on their server??

also the guide showed me how to open .bin file so i tired to open the steam install from steam's website ds_l_1120_full.bin and it gave almost the same error

LavaDevil94 03-01-2004 03:51 PM

to become root:
su
*type password when it prompts for it*
and youre root. now try the script. type exit to go back to normal.
