Source code used for Knoppix automatic hardware detection

Hello there,
I'am quite new to Linux but study fast.:) Now I'am trying to make my own Linux Bootable CD similar to Knoppix distribution, if anyone know where can I get a source code used for Knoppix automatic hardware detection or any online literature,FAQs and any materials on this topic.

Cheers

Nikolay

Knoppix uses kudzo for hardware detection. It is a program that was originally designed by redhat. You can get the source here: http://developer.linuxtag.net/knoppi....1.36-2.tar.gz .

You might want to check Freshmeat for other hardware detection software as well. If you get it working, let us know how it went.
