Source code used for Knoppix automatic hardware detection

Hello there,
I'am quite new to Linux but study fast. Now I'am trying to make my own Linux Bootable CD similar to Knoppix distribution, if anyone know where can I get a source code used for Knoppix automatic hardware detection or any online literature,FAQs and any materials on this topic.

Knoppix uses kudzo for hardware detection. It is a program that was originally designed by redhat. You can get the source here: http://developer.linuxtag.net/knoppi....1.36-2.tar.gz .

You might want to check Freshmeat for other hardware detection software as well. If you get it working, let us know how it went.
