"Super Important to Support Creators!

If you can afford it, please subscribe to as many creators on this platform as you find interesting.

People from every corner of the world post incredible content on , but often live in tough circumstances, where even a few hundred dollars a month changes their life.

While we had previously said that would keep nothing for the 12 months, then 10%, we are amending that policy to keeps nothing forever, until payout exceeds $100k, then 10%. First 12 months is still free for all.

Apple does take 30%, but I will speak with
@tim_cook
and see if that can be adjusted to be just 30% of what keeps in order to maximize what creators receive.

Testing to see if shows up properly this time.

Edit: It's fine while composing the post but shows up as when posted!

Holding 'user' interest is apparently hard to maintain.

"After surpassing 100 million user sign-ups in less than a week, user engagement on Threads has slowed. Threads daily active users fell from 49 million on July 7, two days after its launch, to 23.6 million users last Friday, according to a report published this week by web traffic analysis firm Similarweb. The app’s average usage time also fell from 21 minutes to 6 minutes over the same timeframe." https://www.cnn.com/2023/07/19/tech/...lan/index.html

Note, only views from verified handles count, as scammers will otherwise use bots to spam views to infinity."

My 2 cents.

When/If X allows viewing pages, such as the link that you posted, without javascript on, then I will start looking at it. In the mean time, It's a waste of time.
https://0x0.st/H9Vc.png

That would be my compliant. Not the content, It's not viewable. There are some scrapers for python that one can use. But I don't like any of them. You have to use their API.

If you can't make a page that at least shows the basic text content without running huge bandwidth scripts, then I'm not using it. Twitter used to load just the basic text of a page without scripts. That's fine if you can't see images, if the menu's don't work, if video's don't work.

Edit:
Even youtube can be searched/viewed without scripts.

Well, I was clearly wrong...

It was a $25bn tax write-off: https://www.theverge.com/2023/10/30/...mployee-shares

"Elon Musk’s social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, announced it will launch peer-to-peer payments this year, according to a blog post.
The company did not offer specific details about how the payments will work or when they will officially launch.
Musk has been pushing to transform X into an “everything app,” where users can carry out a variety of functions, from posting to managing finances." https://www.cnbc.com/2024/01/09/elon...his-year-.html

How's about some jaundiced AI slagging off any strident opinion (on anything) on X or oither places as an idea? Sure, ways of gaming it would be found, but you'd adjust the LLM for that?

Would that be a runner for social media which is surely going to go wild in a US, & possibly British, EU & Irish election year?
