A random question :

/* being a Linux freak, Unix Admin and a BSD Null-char.

Am I ready to deal big time with *-BSD* like I do with *-Linux*?
I've got pretty fascinated with the BSDs after reading about them years after years :).

*/

PS : Have FreeBSD 8.1 and PCBSD 8.2, and I know which to install as a VM and which as a host for start :p

I dunno man, you might cra-Segmentation fault

EDIT: Oh wait, you're on Windows, so that'd be more like "dosbox.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We're sorry for the inconvenience." :p

Pff, give me a MIG31 Foxhound over that any day. Can your F-1 fighter fly into the stratosphere like the MIG can? Nope I think not. :p

Mitsubishi F1 is from another era... :)

I'd like to see a match between Mitsubishi F1 and a Mig 21 :)

Or a Mig 31, and this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xEab...eature=related

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9I6_q...eature=related

Plus , Shin-Shin has TVC ( Thrust Vector Control )... which means that the airframe can turn around its instantaneous velocity vector, at any incidence angle... :)

but i dunno wether this will pass the prototype stage... :(

Americans, ( and Koreans and Chinese... ) feel a bit "uncomfortable" when we start building "stuff"...

No contest MIG would win, sorry.

Mig can have cutting edge in top speed, BUT :

1.) to acheive top speed it has necessarily hotter turbines, making its IR signature more intense... so it is not as stealthy as Shin-Shin

2.) Given that air engagement is no longer dogfight, but long range fire of standoff smart-ammo ( fire and forget missiles, I ask...

How close can less stealthy Mig 31 ( bigger Apparent radar surface ) come to Shin Shin before its weapon systems lock, and vice -versa...?

I believe Mig 31 would be shot down before being able to lock its weapons on Shin Shin... :)

If assuming it can get the drop on the MIG. MIG31 is not designed for stealth. Even if Shin Shin sees the MIG31 coming, it had better have a good lock on it from the beginning because of the MIG's speed, if you miss good luck ;).
