Maybe off-topic... L'Hermione will be back.

She is expected to land in America again, after 235 years.

Meeting the schedule all depends on Neptune now.

Hi...

That should be a lot of fun (and an adventure) for those participating but neptune is not involved with directing the weather, God is. ;)

Regards...

And I thought weather was the result of solar radiation and the resulting interaction between the atmosphere and ocean. (Or directed by the goddess Mother Nature.:D) Silly me.

In case you want to share you beliefs with me: no, thanks. I abhor proselytism.

Only abhor ?. That would be a tame description in my case.

I wondered why I had heard La Feyette mentioned on the news over here recently.

noooo, you have it all wrong. it's too complex to explain with science alone, so it must be intelligent design.

Second Son worked on the Pride of Baltimore II, another "tall ship"; it's considered one of the elite among the tall ships crowd. I got the privileged tour.

There is quite a camaraderie amongst sailors on tall ships. We visited the USCG Eagle and, when it was revealed that I was in the company of a member of the crew of the Pride, we got the special tour of the Eagle. It did indeed feel quite special.

I have some pictures of the Pride on my blog. If you are interested, see my profile, follow the breadcrumbs to the blog, and search for "Pride of Baltimore."

(Yes, I'm trying to post something relevant to the thread.)

Sweet! The first stop (Yorktown) is only 5-10 minutes away :) I'll have to try to remember about this.
