Helm, warp one -- engage!

Although generally considered implausible, if they are found to work as claimed, providing thrust without consuming a propellant would revolutionise many propulsion applications, particularly spaceflight.[2][3][4]

While researchers have pointed out the engine is an impossible concept since it defies all known laws of physics, the engine has turned out to be a feasible option for future spacecraft.

Now, scientists have come up with a theory that could explain how it can actually work. In the next coming months, the engine will undergo peer review as scientists hope it can become a reality shortly.

:D
:D :D

(Dusty old "laws" of physics possibly broken, go figure? ;))

Looks like that Wikipedia page should probably be deleted.

Edit away? ;)

the drive dose work
BUT

the energy put in is BIG and the movement out is very very very very very tinny
in the range of the mass of a few neutrons

this thing is not moving even its self and a HUGE SNAP generator anywhere

at least for a few hundred YEARS yet

The most important benefit of this engine concept, since at best it remains a net loss with no usable power output, is to demonstrate that Science is NOT dogma, that serious scientists are willing tyo entertain notions that "go against the grain" and see for themselves if "laws" are indeed "dusty".
