no, city on the edge of forever is the one where kirk and spock have to go back in time through the "guardian" to find mccoy, who has gone nuts from injecting himself on the bridge with a shot he was supposed to give to sulu. back in time, kirk falls for joan collins and has to let her die to set things right again. then at the end, the guardian asks him if they want to go again, and kirk gives the famous "let's get the hell out of here" line. the camera pans away from the landing crew from above as the music starts, and it actually is a pretty cool sci-fi moment. :D

well, that was fun. :p that is a d@mn good episode -- one of the best -- and i think that's the one that won some awards.

Wasn't the one with Joan Collins "Amok Time"?

synaptical 12-26-2003 06:07 PM

nope, Joan Collins = "Edith Keeler." :D

oh yeah, on second look maybe he was. :p i didn't remember nazis -- i thought he was talking about the one with the ex-federation guy who becomes the fuehrer (sp?) who the nazi leaders drug and keep in that little room giving fake speeches. :p

The sad, sad part of this is that:
a) I'm actually reading (and posting to!) a Trek thread
b) I was so so so wrong about the Amok Time thing.
:)

As for favorites I figure any episode with "Q" and the DS9 where Quark, Rom and Nog wind up in a US air base in the 1950's.

I watch any Trek when it's on (really like Enterprise), but I'll never go to a convention or speak Klingon.

OMG, Edith Keeler, thats the name i was trying to remember when i was posting. Now i remember in the episode when spock says " Edith Keeler must die ". I have the episode on tape but I would feel like such a nerd if i put it on just to put it in my post. :D
You have got to be kidding with that Edith Keeler website :)
Im gonna watch it again right now, LOL

I'd say any episode with Q is bound to be good. I've many favs.

I really enjoyed the entire Voyager series, so hard to point out my fav. Although Janeway fooling the borg queen in the final episode was really somethin'

But the picturisation was such that everyone could have guessed the outcome long before.

could be worse... could be a LOTR thread. :p

The one with all the women on the bridge, with skirts and legs and boots and stuff....... nice.

...... probably the one with the maggot in the helmet that crawls in the ear.

It could be MUCH worse than that: the "Hust" thread :D

Voyager is best in general, but the best "Blink of the Eye", where they
get stuck in orbit over a planet with accelerated time. I wonder, which is the worst episode?

Dewar 12-29-2003 10:11 AM

Any episode of DS9 with Keiko in it is up for the worst episode award. There's one where molly falls through a time portal and when they try and pull her back out using the transporter, she's 18. An attempt at a touching family show that basicaly developed into everyone crying "molly!" ever two minutes. Truely sad, but not in the way they intended.

Oh, and the one with the maggots that crawl into the ear is the movie Star Trek II Wrath of Kahn (A real quality movie)
