Fav. Star Trek episode

My fav. episode is the closing sequence to Star trek Voyager when the Captain returns and the borg queen dies saying "this can't be tru, this can't be true".

What's yours?

Why don't you like Star Trek? If not for the ships, maybe for the Borg :D

the voyager episode where chakotay and harry("Timeless", maybe) send a message back 15 years back to save voyager from a frozen grave. lots of other episodes were cool, though,
as well as many TNG episodes. i liked several of the movies and still find the ideas in the very first movie to be among my favorite. like my athlon box meeting up in space with his more advanced brethren and coming back a contender who then consummates a union with the race of humanity

No No No.. the best episode is the original star trek the one where kirk, spock and mccoy go back in time to get the timeline back on track so the nazis dont take over the world where they had to allow that lady to die so she dosnt start the peace group that refuses to fight...... Something like that.

and as far as TNG, theres so many good episodes its hard to choose.:)
The show shouldnt exist??

Data's Daughter

I like the episode where Data builds his daughter. She has some kind of a software glitch which causes her to display emotions and experience love - which leads to her demise.

Why did you start this thread when there is already one similar? Oh well.

i would say my favorite is... its hard to decide.
i like the one tng one though where they learn that all inteligent life came from one mother race eons ago that spread bits of their genetic code throught the universe because they were all alone and couldnt find any other races. it explains why the races are generally all humanoid type beings.

My Fav is Inner Light, the one where picard lives out kamin's life in 21 minutes. It won several awards.

Hey, Emmet! I never thought I'll see you again. Welcome back to the board!

Anyway, what is "Inner Light" about?

Regards,
Jerry

i like the "nomad" one, where that kludged probe comes back to wipe out everything imperfect. it thinks Kirk is the creator, and Kirk BSODs it with some crafty logic syllogisms. :p i also like the next gen one with "Hugh" the borg -- "you felt sorry for me, too, and look where it got you." :D

original series - best episodes are tomorrow is yesterday(ship goes back in time and accidently destroys an american plane), devil in the dark(silicon based lifeform defends its nest from miners), a piece of the action(kirk lands on planet ruled by 1920's gangsters) the episode bajanick is reffering to is city on the edge of forever and is quite good.

next gen - too many good episodes to name but two really good ones are the first duty(wesley's team buggers up the colvern starburst and his teammate dies), darmok(picard and the tamarian captain team up to overcome the language barrier)

ds9 - by far the best episode is past tense (cisco, bashir, dax are sent back to riots in 2024) but there are lots of others, this is by far the best series.

dont know much about voyager but the one where the doctor went back to a ship in the alpha quadrant and rescues it from terrorists was quite good.

Go DS9!

I'm not sure if it's my favorite or not, but I saw the most heart touching episode I've seen in a long time on my friend's DS9 DVDs yesterday.

Captain Sisko get zapped by the warp core and bounces along through time, appearing about once every 10 years as jake ages. Each time he's only around for a few minutes, and there's some seriously touching father-son moments. In the end, a very old Jake Sisko commits suicide, so his father can return back to the start and avoid the zap from the warp core. A very touching episode.
