Dark Tourist (it's a travel documentary). My wife and I are enjoying it. I rather like that it's not overly polished and even a little cringy at times. Makes it seem more real to me. . There are lots of places/practices I've never heard about before and I enjoy Farriers' commentary.

Wow seems as messed up as Bad Boys, only reality, unlike( off this topic:) many "facts/faiths" in religion. :p

Like the challenges faced so far. Pretty well written sci fi genre.

Should I feel silly being a grown ass man saying I'm binge-watching Awkward or when I did it on Facebook saying, "why have I waited so long to watch Twilight?" Then all my chick cousins were: Like!

I don't understand why enjoying specific type of art(Cinema is form of art) is age or gender|sex specific? I have also watched movies like The Notebook and A walk to remember etc. despite being boy not girl. Won't watch again often but first times i watched them they were really good even as soap operas. Even wanted to cry afterwards. Twilight while not be that much of soap opera is still good enough. But as far as vampire|witch|werewolf movies go i suggest The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Bitten, Charmed..

Coincidentally I was watching some of the later episodes of Charmed yesterday and thought the producers had decided to go pure farce by then. Worth the watch for the eye candy anyway but nothing I'd be watching if anything else had appealed to me as I was flipping channels.

It reminded me of when I quit watching Charlie's Angels (the original series) years ago. They had an episode which had so many stupid statements made by characters justifying what they were doing that it hurt my brain. I could have lived with even that if the statements had not contradicted prior justifying ones made by the same characters. They say TV viewers have short attention spans but I have to believe even a goldfish would have noticed THAT lack of continuity.

This sentence seems appropriate for many TV shows, especially some time after the second season.

The pure farce is preferable to the pure soap opera so many shows seem to devolve into (or start with). Shows like Falling Skies and The Walking Dead were so disappointing to me. They start with a great premise of all of humanity being at risk then spend all their time developing plot line after plot line where the "good guys" are in conflict with each other and eventually more and worse "bad guys" (people) show up to make their lives hell. TWD did that so badly that when they did the spin off it had 4 episodes in a row where the "walkers" didn't even appear. Even Dexter which had a great premise by the second season had the purported "sociopath" agonizing over the "family" to which he'd attached himself. If one is going to watch that kind of drivel why not just be honest and DVR General Hospital instead?

On the plus side some shows do soap opera but have enough humor in them to make them enjoyable. Ally McBeal and Gilmore Girls were along those lines. Barry is another one that has a lot of soap opera but has enough humor to make it watchable.

^ That sums it up perfectly.
As far as US TV shows are concerned, only very few make it beyond Season 2 in my book.
  • 40% don't make it beyond season 1
  • 50% don't make it beyond season 2
  • and even the 10% that are left are all "dying a slow death" (i.e. more and more "soap opera" and less and less plot). Any season that manages to stay interesting after season 3 is worth mentioning.

I was writing about original Charmed TV series..but if ignore original even sequels are ok to watch.

However if you want even worse example than The Walking Dead then Game of Thrones last season is simply joke..after so much time of character and story development..they simply ruined ending with lolsense not just nonsense.

I did mean later episodes of the original series (Alyssa, Holly and Rose who replaced Shannon by then).

I agree on GOT. HBO seems to go out of its way to annoy viewers at the end of some series. The final episode of The Sopranos was disappointing as well. However, when people started doing a petition for a redo of the last season of GOT I posted on FB: Keep calm and get a life. It struck me much as the petition to shutdown rotten tomatoes because of low Suicide Squad rating. When I saw that I suggested a petition be started to tell Suicide Squad fans to get a life. :D
