"brand new community house" Do you mean a Christian house of worship as in older references?

"brand new". Signifying perhaps a new initiative on the part of the larger city government to extend it's reach? AP |

Sorry to be a nuisance, I'm interested. |

By the way, in contrast to Belgium and France, wearing face-covering clothes is only prohibited in public transport, public offices, schools, hospitals and other health care facilities. Maybe it all sounds silly to you and I don't mind. I have mixed feelings about it as well. However The Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Spain, Italy, Bulgary, Switzerland, Denmark and France now all have comparable legislation against face covering clothing. Outside of Europe Morocco has a ban as well. And even Germany is thinking about it. |

Since I am the white cream filling living in a oreo crust world.
Only thing I noticed. Immigrant children are usually more rude than their parents. You can thank your kids for that. Being afeared is usually a taught thing. Either from personal experience or being raised that way by a provider or govt. Seems we should be teaching something else. Only had millions of years to figure this one out. Too bad we are hard wired for conflict. I still stand by my last post in this thread. Because. Harassment is a personal choice made by most. Clerks, cops, etc.... Because this is not just a cop issue. Pre conceived conclusions are in every day day society. I am man enough to say. I suffer from this trait myself. Because if it was the govt employees mother. Sister. Wife. I am sure they would make up excuses. If they are open minded. Then a case by case basis for the stranger not related, at the least. If bigoted. No hope. Can't fix racism. Which everyone is also born with. You gotta learn how to control it by subbing moms face on the person you have a issue with. That is how I handle it. Does not always work. But one tries. |

I also doubt (to my regret) that city and government reach can't be more than it already is. We don't have census takers because everyone needs to be registered at birth and is required to have his/her real address of residence registered in city hall. After birth, you are regularly seen by a city nurse, that checks your well-being. On your 4th birthday you can go to school and from age 5 to 16 you are required. If you don't show up, a city official will pay you and your family a visit. If it happens too often, you can ultimately even be taken away from your parents because of negligence and placed in a foster home. When turning 18 you will get a letter telling you that if you die your organs can be used for transplantation unless you send the letter back telling the government office "NO I don't want that". Of course, when turning 18 you also come under the scutiny of the Revenue Service and you will stay so until the government took their share between 10-40% of the inheritance you leave your loved ones. (and there are more links but to my liberal me this is scary enough so I stop here) -- a space people in the neighborhood can use to play bingo will not be a significant increase in the cities reach.. :( |
Why or maybe who would burn down a club house?
"took their share between 10-40% of the inheritance you leave your loved ones" Nice to know dying in other countries is taxable. (again) |

I don't much care about laws against covering your face but I think it's good that politics & government dare to officially criticise sexist and misogynyst aspects of orthodox Islam. And thanks for trying to explain a community house and how it is a perfectly normal thing in a culture where the "social" hasn't been completely eradicated from "Social Market Economy". ;) |
