Hello
I got A problem when i insert a cd in cdrom and after i have fineshed with the work on cd then i open the terminal and type eject then it gives me the following message unmount mn/cdrom device busy eject unmount of dev/cdrom failed Pls help me what to do I have Fedora Core 1 Installed Ashwin |
You have to close all windows and terminals pointing on /mnt/cdrom.
|
if u have have a terminal or alpiication accesing the /mnt/cdrom,
then it will show device is busy |
You have to close all the program that uses your CD-ROM, including file browsers.
|
If you are having trouble figuring out whcih process is using the cd...
/sbin/fuser </dev/cdrom or /dev/cdrom1 or /dev/whatever> |
Did you unmount the CD using umount /dev/cdrom?

i ask this because i have a philips cd burner, and when using cdrecord, i *must* use the eject flag, or the device has exactly the same symptoms you are describing when i try to remove a freshly burnt disc. cheers, --vq |
