what kind of work are you doing on the cd? are you burning?
i ask this because i have a philips cd burner, and when using cdrecord, i *must* use the eject flag, or the device has exactly the same symptoms you are describing when i try to remove a freshly burnt disc.
when i wait for sometime ,and then i go for eject hen the cdrom comes out of the drive
all this was working fine while on RH9.0 i do not what is wrong here
i think
#fuser /dev/cdrom
willl help me next time i am stucj
