It might show up under the hard drive option, usually shown as HDD. That's the way I usually see it, listed by the name of the usb, Sandisk, Toshiba, Lexar, etc.

I don't know if maybe UUI and my use of it failed. Like I said, I used it to put Bodhi on the same USB drive. Now, however, there is no USB option between Harddrive and UEFI. Is it possibly just because it didn't install on the USB correctly?

I was at my sister's 4th of July party, so I didn't have minutes to invest once it was no longer an easy deal.

If you have any other fairly new computer available, you could try testing the usb on it to see if it boots thus eliminating that possibility (or confirming it).
I'm not familiar with your hardware but I have an HP Notebook and on boot, I see a message on screen to press the Esc key for startup options and then get several options including F9 for boot options and F10 for BIOS setup. If you have a boot options menu, you should see something related to the usb. You might post info by writing down on boot what you see in the BIOS boot options or the setup menu.

Yeah. I's a gonna try more buttons. I booted my sister's computer into AntiX fine. It was purdy. I just need to get by boot from USB back.

Ok. I came home and disabled the secure boot and enabled legacy support. This was based on YouTube wisdom. Then, I changed the boot order for the legacy and UEFI to USB first. Then I get something in the middle again, but it's not USB.

That sure is a lot of frustration. You can't expect to do a job without putting in the work to educate yourself first.

You are talking about Unetbootin, so I assume you are in Windows.
I suggest you do NOT select to download the ISO from within Unetbootin, but rather download it and point to the file instead.
See Unetbootin's online documentation to learn how to use it.
(that's not Bodhi's fault, btw, as you're still in Windows)
Once you get your ISO onto either a USB stick, or a DVD, you can boot with that (and you may have to check your boot sequence or computer's documentation to boot from a device other than your hard disk).

But before you do that, you have to back up all your data to another device.

Although you also have an HP, I'm not sure that the settings in BIOS are the same. I doubt you will get the usb to boot from any EFI settings. When you boot and hit the Esc key for Startup Menu, do you get several options including F9 Boot Device Options and F10 BIOS Setup? In BIOS setup, you indicate you have Legacy enabled. Do you also have an option to enable USB boot? If so, enable that. These options show under System Configuration in the BIOS.

On my HP, when I have a flash/usb drive attached, it shows under the F9 boot options, do you not see your usb there, usually by manufacturer name?

The center image you posted above shows two options. The first would likely boot whatever was initially installed and might have additional entries. If you highlight it and hit Enter, do you see anything else? The second option you see is UUI, not sure if that would be the Bodhi you installed using UUI.

If you use the Esc key then F10 for BIOS Setup, do you have a System Configuration tab? This is where I see the various boot settings for UEFI, Legacy, USB boot etc. I also notice that at the top of your settings it shows File Explorer which I only see when booted into windows, the file manager. When I select F9, it show Boot Manager at the top, when I select F10 it shows the name of the firmware Setup Utility so your settings seem to be very different.

Yep, I bet UUI is the usb-flash that was created by UUI. Some usb creator programs label the flashdrive with the iso name , some with their own name.
Btw, for creating a bootable flashdrive under windows I would really advise Rufus, it has never let me down for the past years and is still under active development. It is a standalone application you don't even have to install, just double click in the file-manager and voila, the dialog window appears and off you go.

+1 for rufus, though I've switched to etcher because it runs on windoze and linux.

Again, thanks to all. I verified the working USB file for AntiX on my sister's computer. It worked fine. Now, however, my laptop has just brainfarted the USB boot option. Can someone tell me how to get it back?

I don't know anything about the HP Stream so take a look at the HP site below discussing accessing/changing the BIOS on that machine. The second link is to HP Stream 13, don't know what version you have. If the links below don't help just do an online search for HP Stream (version number) manual to see what you can find.s

Hopefully JuanFrancisco was able to achieve his goal. On the side note, I believe Bodhi forum is very friendly and caring of the users who need help.

I would suggest JuanFrancisco re-installs Bodhi, makes it configured to his likes and enjoys it. It is hard to find better support than the one at Bodhi forum.
