Crema theme

Hello there

There were some requests to the former E17 Crema or better coffee theme so I decided to fix this theme for BL 5.0. I did not know the theme is in very bad condition. There was no battery, launcher, clock, tasks and many many more widgets themed. Be aware this theme has no ELM part so, apps like epad, eepdate etc will fall to the default ELM theme if you dont choose the different one. Anyway I hope some people will be happy (at least my sister who use the theme for years).

Now some screenshots where I am after 8 hours:

Thanx Norman

Today I will create and add GTK+ themes for the coffee theme to the repo. Still lots of work in front of me. But yes, I think it looks much much better :)

Very nice.

Many thanks, Stefan, much appreciated. I used the Crema theme in the old Bodhi v2 days, and I miss it. Your screenshots look very good, and I look forward to installing it on Bodhi 5.

It looks great, Stefan! I'll definitely be using this theme.

By the way, I've always had the old Crema theme installed on my computer because I really like the clock. It's nicer than the clocks from the other themes, and it goes well with the Forum theme, which I normally use. I also often use the wallpaper from the Crema theme as well.

Yes, this theme deserves the attention and I am glad you like it :) This fact motivates me

excellent work as usual :)

As I told in my first post, this theme lacks the ELM theme part. Just have realized the bodhi-theme-moksha-sunshine theme includes elm one and matches pretty cool with the Crema theme. Why not to combine them?

Enjoy :)

THat 's really nice.

I notice in your screen shot, Stefan, that you've got shadows for your windows. There used to be a window shadow option in the Settings for Bodhi 2, but this is no longer available (at least, I can't find it). So are the window shadows built into the new Crema theme?

the_waiter 02-20-2019 03:49 AM

No no, I use compton compositor. It is nice and helps me with browser scrolling tearing. And yes, there is no compositor in Bodhi any more. Jeff removed it as it was buggy according his words.

Thanks for the info, Stefan. So after reading your last post I installed Compton from the repository, looked up commands to use, typed in "compton --shadow" at the terminal, and the screen flickered and now I've got shadows! I think I'll now use your compton-conf file that you give in another thread (at https://pastebin.com/jmQPhLqz) and add Compton to my startup apps.
Regards, Roger

Edit: I've done the above, and everything's looking good. So I'm all set for your new Crema theme. I'll maybe now try a few things like transparency...

Thanks again!
