Booting from usb gives an error

I have created an Arch Linux usb flash drive.
When I am trying to load the Arch Linux I face the following error :

ERROR: '/dev/disk/by-label/ARCH_201211' device did not show up after 30 secons

Any ideas?

Have you altered your HOOKS in /etc/mkinitcpio.conf?

Code:

cat /etc/mkinitcpio.conf |grep HOOKS

Before creating the initial RAM disk # mkinitcpio -p linux, in /etc/mkinitcpio.conf add the usb hook to the hooks array right after udev. This is necessary for appropriate module loading in early userspace.
