Thunar

I'm not dead!
Anyway, I really like the small and fast file managers. For X, I like PCmanFM. At the command line, MC rules. However, I find that even in X, I still open a terminal and use MC a lot.
Caja? (MATE file manager)
I wanted to pick caja, because nautilus in gnome 3 is...lacking. Oh, well.
File Manager
Nautilus
bash, mv, cp ...
Midnight Commander. Not just because I can hit F3 and instantly see the contents of a file but also because browsing through large and complex directory trees cannot be done any faster.
Dolphin is ok for me.
nautilus is good.
Nautilus its simple, good and basic.
I wish I could vote for vfu. Really the best I have seen.
Midnight Commander comes close, so it gets my vote. :-( PCManFM seems nice at first, but then it is too buggy. Yuk! |
Thunar
Thunar.
Was in CrunchBang by default, and I haven't changed it. I really like the batch renamer. I mainly use various commands in the terminal though. |
Delphin. Obviously. Nothing comes close for me.
XFE is a great file manager, with just the right balance of features and a light footprint.
Dolphin beats Nautilus by the thinnest of margins! Nautilus demands recount?
If i didn't vote for Dolphin, my vote would have gone to Thunar. I hate how Nautilus manages the desktop.
fluff !

Ditto. I also reported him/her/it in another thread.
Relatedly, I've gotta wonder how someone expects that pasting a bunch of HTML links repeatedly is somehow good marketing... :-p |
