Download gparted and use that to reformat the partition you do not want anymore to NTFS, then install XP over that partition.

So do as I suggested in post 2, delete the partitions you do not want and format them as NTFS, it isn't difficult.

You will probably need to remove the Ubuntu Grub from the master boot record. Go to the link below and scroll down to post # 10, run the command suggested. Boot with your Ubuntu CD, open a Terminal and enter the command suggested there. You need to change the "su -" to sudo as you are using Ubuntu.
http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/new...pus-linux.html EDIT: I just re-read your initial post and am not clear as to what you intend. Do you want to keep Ubuntu and Suse Linux and just add xp? or do you just want xp? If you just want xp, the method at the link above should do it. If you want to keep Suse Linux and or Ubuntu, you will need to reinstall their bootloader(s) if you install xp as it will overwrite the mbr and will render Suse and Ubuntu unbootable until you reinstall Grub or modify the xp bootloader manually. |

You could download, obviously on another computer, DBAN (Dariks Boot and Nuke) and this will wipe the drive totally. Then try installing. |
