Apt-get and azureus

I am new to Ubuntu, and so far I am loving it :-). Something that is troubling me though, where does apt-get place programs installed? For instance, I need to place a plugin into the azureus/plugins directory, but for the life of me can't seem to find it. Normally I build these from source so I know where they are, but apt-get is just so relaxing :-). Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks for your time gals and gents!

Maybe "updatedb" then "locate azureus" would help. You may also have a .azureus directory under your home directory that optional plugins and other user configureable options go. As a direct answer to your question "where does apt-get place programs", well, that is sometimes specific to the individual package, so it can be a hard question to answer, but you can always open up synaptic and look at the installed files section while the package is selected as that will show all files installed and their path. I know there is a command line option for apt-get that will show this, but I do not know it by heart, as I have never used that particular option.
