Anyone know of a kde 3.5.3 source for 10.1, or will a 10 source work. Seems to me kde is installed in all the same places, or will yast just not accept a 10 source for 10.1. Or a yum or apt source for newer kde versions. I guess I could simply uninstall kde and install it right from kde's home page, but that will mixup updates from yast in the future.

I have a similar problem with YAST, i'm trying to add a local directory where i download the rpms for suse. I use 'change source of installation' to give the directory but i always get the message "instalation source not updated"(maybe different, translation form spanish) and when i try to install some of that rpms i can't find them on YAST, someone knows what to do?
Thanks |
I had two repositories for 10.0 before I upgraded to 10.1. Can I just change the end from 10.0 to 10.1.
Here they are: http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/misc/suser-guru/rpm/10.0/ packman.rsync.zmi.at/suse/10.0 Thanks ahead of time. |

hey guys, is it only me, or is something wrong withe kde repositories? My YAST can't find kde 3.5.4 for x86_64 in repository (i'm using http://software.opensuse.org/downloa...E_Linux_10.0/). It finds only i586 version, so I can't update to latest version.

No workie
I've been searching for an hour for a working 'supplementary' repository for SUSE 10.1. The mirrors at:
http://en.opensuse.org/Additional_Ya...e_Repositories are all old. Anyone? |

I just checked, and they work for me. This thread is 2 years old... maybe it's time to start a new one? :) |
I agree that this thread might be a little old. However I can't agree on the claim that the above link is outdated. It still provides good information where to find the repositories for the newest version. The information may not be available at the first click, but it took me just a few clicks more to find a KDE4 repository for SUSE 10.1 under the above mentioned link.
EDIT: I just recognised, I argued against an older post. I should rephrase: I think a new thread is not required, as the more recent posts still provide good info. |
