usbboot on thinkpad x30 failed

The usbstick is perfectly ok, I reformatted it twice and dd sad nothing unusual ... Had someone similar problems and knows a solution? I could try PXE boot, but usbstick booting looks much easier. Thank you for any hints and tips! y0shi |
What distro do you have on your usbstick?
Here's a good resource for IBM Thinkpads: http://thinkwiki.org/wiki/ThinkWiki |

I meant the one made by Alien BOB http://www.slackware.com/~alien/slackboot/usb/ But probably this is a hardware thing? |
I have the feeling some reinstall of a master boot record could fix this problem? I was reading this: http://www.pendrivelinux.com/2007/03...-flash-device/
But now I don't know how to get this mbr package (with install-mbr inside) I can't find any sources or packages. Does anyone know where the sources are on the web, or is this some debian specific thing? Thanks in advance! y0shi |
