Hello!
So, my HP came with preinstalled windows 8, I Installed Ubuntu over it, but, as expected, there were some issues, such as when shutting down and brightness and stuff
So i thought, what better option then using slackware??
I downloaded the image from here:
http://www.slackware.com/getslack/torrents.php
The 7th link
Anyway, Ubuntu's Startup Disk Creator, for some reason, would not accept the iso image.
It worked fine from ubuntu and mint images, but when I selected the slackware image, nothing happened...
So I Downloaded unetbootin and it worked better, now I had the bootable USB stick for slackware
I restarted the computer, changed on the bios so it would boot from the USB first... failure, nothing happened
I researched a little and saw that I shoud change to legacy mode
did so, but still, nothing...
Does anyone has any clue of what is happening?
I'm currently downloading the 64bit version to see if it works (don't blame me if it was obvious that I had to have the 64 version from the beginning, I'm still a linux newbie D
