Smile slackpkg update problems

Hi All, we have being using Slackware for years & RPI's for quite a while. We have no problems with the above, however - After installing Slackwarearm 14.1 on a RPI2 & go to do a "slackpkg update", we get the message - unable to resolve host address. We have tried all locations for 14.1 & current, in the file /etc/slackpkg/mirrors - with the same result. We can get all other operating systems working on the RPI2 - why not slackwarearm. All functions in slackwarearm work, but we cannot update or upgrade it.
Has anybody any ideas.
Regards Rod.....////

This would imply either one of two things, or both:

1. Your DNS doesn't work. Check /etc/resolv.conf - do you have any DNS servers in there? If so, can you use them?
2. You have no networking. What IP does eth0 have?

Can you ping www.google.com?

What has udev set for your Ethernet?

Code:
# cat /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-*net*
Are you using DHCP?

Hi all, sorry about the delay - we had a little medical problem.

Forgetting to set the date is an oversight which stumps quite a few users and causes quite a few problems.
