Waiting for the big surprise

Thanks Willy. I thought I might stir the pot a little and also add yay! Keep it fun.

I guess you will have to wait longer for the big surprise from Patrick :)
People who answer "I'm not waiting" are funny. :D

All good things come in time. :)

Now I'm positively drooling .... :-)

It's something about that girl called PAM? ;)

Slack 14.1 is running perfectly fine, so no rush. I still run 13.0 in my older machines...

Her corsage withered and died a long time ago, but she is still hoping for an invitation to the prom.

I like the wink. I really appreciate the work done by Willy and Chess with maintaining the Mate desktop.

I am thinking it could be CDE since slackware next has openmotif :)

Doubtful. Patrick hasn't had it in -Current or /testing.

Yup. I predict it won't be in for 14.2. Slackware-current is awesome, running lean and mean.

Code:

Linux odin 3.14.29 #2 SMP Fri Jan 16 13:45:58 CST 2015 x86_64 Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8500  @ 3.16GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux

The only things on the table right now I know of off hand are Robby's and Eric's to-do lists of checking updated packages against -Current, testing them, and then sending the reports to Patrick.

Other than that, unless a new package for anything appears in /testing and eventually gets merged in, chances are it will never be "just added". Even then the testing Patrick puts things through is well-known to be rigorous and must perform to his level of expectations without flaws that could make the system less than desirable to use.

Yes. I know. You're preaching to the converted. I've been Slacking since version 10.0. Slackware 14.2 will be amazing.

I think one of the last major includes/influxes was all the support libraries and packages for Xfce 4.10.
