Realtime scheduling without PAM

Does anyone know how to enable realtime scheduling for users without having to install PAM?

set_rlimits

You can find set_rlimits (1.3.0 version) here: http://www.physics.adelaide.edu.au/~jwoithe/
...and the slackbuild here: http://slackbuilds.org/repository/13...m/set_rlimits/

Hi, sorry, side question.
PAM isn't Pluggable Authentication Modules?

Isn't something for security and authentication of users??

@mlpa, yes PAM is Pluggable Authentication Modules. In some distros it is used to let normal users run processes at a higher priority to achieve realtime.
