and even if this is the case you can use an other router as a bridge and connect via cable to this, haven't you seen it all?
but that's not the point, rather that peoples are not idiots if they do not exactly as you expect them to do
Asking for help and insisting on doing the exact opposite of what is suggested and/or written in the documentation is a very subtle form of intelligence.
I wonder if you could do your patronizing and talking down at people at facebook or something.
Maybe make your own forum like other distros do, instead of bumping this thread on slackware support forum.

no one did this but if it helps you to let out some arrogant speech for getting rid of some of your frustration, feel free to change topics as you wish, its ok for me, you do not need to get the point.
Once you receive the confirmation email, you can discuss all MLED-related things by posting to mled@lists.tuxfamily.org.
Starting from now, the mailing list is the "official" MLED channel for getting help, reading announcements, discussing the project, etc. I won't answer any MLED-related questions here on LQ. Please use the mailing list for that.
@Moderator: I think it's time to close this thread.
Salix' installer is very close to Slackware and doesn't make the installation any easier. You still get to configure your GENERIC kernel, X11, audio, wifi, printing etc. by hand. And Vector's installer is more or less a Slackware installer with bugs and typos.
Meanwhile I have tried both suggestions and while I can confirm the bugginess of VL's installer (and the result as a whole), I would like to say that I was nicely surprised by Salix. Contrary to your claim, I find it does make the installation as easy as going stock Slackware: you get a perfectly working DE (in my case without messing with the kernel, X11, and audio), while wifi & printing were as easy as 1) selecting the access point + entering the password, and 2) selecting the printer from the database.
If I would like to have a compleat MATE desktop I'd go the Salix way, but I am more comfortable with the minimalism of XFCE, and therefore I wish you'd consider making a self-contained ISO for MLED as the guys at Salix have done.
... since you're manifestly anal about not using a network cable during setup.
Mods, please sanction this member for offensive language towards me. He knows perfectly well that I am talking about situations where ethernet connections do not exist yet he persists in attacking me personally because I "refuse" to use one.
