json-c not found (SW 14.1 64 - pulseaudio)

I use Slackware 14.1 64 bit.

I downloaded json-c and built and installed it.
Now, when I try to build pulseaudio8.0, the configure script claims there is json-c missing.

What can I do to solve this? Is it a json-c installation issue? I am assuming this is a slackware issue, but maybe I'm wrong.

Thanks in advance.

I found an old post about this. So it's solved!

What was the solution you found? You can post it here instead of a link so others that have the same problem can find it quicker.

I am curious about this. Are you running pulse audio on Slackware 14.1? Pulse audio was introduced into Slackware-current as I understand it.

It is a 32/64 bit issue.

That seems to me that you did not make your system a multilib system. Since Steam is a 32 bit application this is needed. You can find the instructions for going multilib on AlienBob's site also.

Though my problem hasn't got to do with Steam, it is about making my system multilib (32bit libraries AND 64 bit libraries).

pulseaudio doesn't require a multilib setup, so there was probably something else that actually caused the issue, even if it was solved by going multilib (possibly installing a package that contains both 32bit and 64bit binaries).

But congrats on getting it working!
